Though this is posting on Monday as usual, as I write, it is Thursday, and a momentously straining and unpleasant week is slowly drawing to a close.  This week was really brutal.  I mean, REALLY.  For the sake of tact and good common sense I will not itemize, but suffice it to say that it was one of those weeks that kind of just happen to you, like a force of nature – like a hurricane, in fact.  And having lived through something owning to thirty hurricanes myself while living in the Carribbean, I know from experience that the response is similar: there’s nothing to do but weather it.  And try to laugh a little about it.

With that in mind, I present the second interim comic.  I hope it’s good for a chuckle.  And aside from that, I have nothing to add this week, except that, discretion being the better part of valor, I have left town for the weekend for an undisclosed destination, and do not plan to come back until I step into my office on Monday morning.  No drawing, no phone calls, no email, no nothing.  Total disconnection therapy.

I do want to thank everyone who voted this past week, though – we pushed 6-Commando up better than ten slots on the meter!  While I’m travelling, I will not be doing any drawing but with the success of last week’s Daily Sketch Incentives, I may well come up with something.  I refuse to think about it before Monday, though.

All the best, folks!  And next week, if I can muster the will, Chapter 2 will begin.  So tune in then!

For now, I’m getting the hell out of here.  Be well.
