Hanging Out With Denny Fincke At Table H3 in Artist’s Alley!

Okay, so here we finally are.  I’m bound to thank everyone for the encouragement last week – it was a tough couple days there but I got it all worked out in the end.  And along with this now-fully-rendered page, I have posted the spread for your delight and perusal over on topwebcomics.com.  It is probably one of my favorites so far, I have to admit.

Okay.  So.  Now that we’re back on track here, I have got some REALLY hot news for all of you.  First and foremost, I have got 6-Commando decals, now available for everyone!  They will be making their debut at the New York Comic Convention, and I have to say they came out great – thin, silkscreened, weather-resistant vinyl, good for all surfaces with a nice strong adhesive.  Want an “I Like Mike” decal for your door, car, window, laptop or wherever?  Well, that brings me to my second piece of cool-o news!

Denny Fincke has offered to let me hang out at his table in Artist’s Alley for a few hours on Saturday.  Denny is someone whose work many of you already know, but might not know that you know.  In addition to drawing his own webcomic, Twit Troo of the Moon, he has also been a character, storyboard and background artist for such shows as Daria, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Venture Brothers.  Not exactly a lightweight, so having him offer me his time and space is immensely cool.  I met him at NYCC last year and I can vouch for the fact that the guy is also a total class act!  His comic, the first collected issue of Twit Troo of the Moon, will be on sale at NYCC so you should definitely come check him out regardless!  So if you’re at NYCC and want a free 6-Commando decal for your laptop, or whatever else you want to put a decal on, come over to table H-3 in Artist’s Alley between 4 and 6PM on Saturday, or flag me down if you see me making my rounds.  I will also be making my services available for sketches and sketch cards if you want them, and will have a special item for sale with me, an official United Nations Alliance lapel pin, in glass enamel and solid nickel-silver!  If you’re one of the few lucky folks who already has one of these pins, you know how classy they are, and if you don’t have one, you know, you KNOW you want one.  I wear one on my lapel to work every day, and let me tell ya, people get out of your way on the subway when you wear one of these!  They are super cool if I do say so myself, and will be collectible, since there are already more of them in the works, even as we speak!  So swing on by or flag me down, say the magic words “I Like Mike!” and get your 6-Commando stuff to show your esprit de corps!

So I hope to see you all there next week.  And if you can’t make it, fear not!  After the convention, I will post instructions on how you can get your own “I Like Mike” decal for just the cost of postage, if you couldn’t make it to New York City.  So, yes!  Also, you may notice that I’ve been trying various social media lately to promote the comic.  However, I have to admit that it feels like a lot of clutter is building up and I need to rework a lot of how the website is running very soon, so apologies if this looks like it’s getting out of hand.  I plan to clean it all up pretty soon.

Anther week, folks.  Whew!  Until next time, everyone, be well!
