Sorry to be a bit late, I struggled with this one.  I produced several versions of the page, only to redraw the whole thing to make it graphically clear – the previous versions, though they told the story, were jumbled up to the point of incoherence, and if nothing else, you know that I go for very strict graphical clarity in my style of art (if not always of writing).

Anyhow, we’re here, now: the seminal moment in Sarah’s young life.  It took eight years to get here (almost to the day!) but I made it.  And now, as it’s Labor Day, I’m taking the afternoon off and doing something else.

Incidentally, for those of you in the Washington, DC area, I will be at the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, MD, on Saturday, September 16, along with other members of the SpiderForest Webcomic Collective, at table A13.  I hope to see you there!  We can talk shop, and maybe (if we’re lucky) we can have a few advance copies of volume 1 of Threads, the SpiderForest Webcomic Collective’s new anthology, which is in the final stages of production.  Check it out!

Until then, all the best, folks!
